Summer – the most abundant and varied British Flower season.
Here At The Kitchen, we’d love you to come and join us for a leisurely afternoon to celebrate the ‘Best of British’.
We are delighted to welcome back local wedding florist, Fiona West, this time to help you make a bountiful and beautiful, hand- tied summer bouquet.
After a short demo to show you how to achieve the classic florists’ spiral and how to get the best from the flowers and foliage, Fiona will hand over to you to create your own unique and bespoke bouquet. Fiona had a sucessful teaching career in her past life so you can be certain of the highest quality tuition, guidance and support every step of the way.
Once you’ve made your bouquet you will learn how to wrap them like a pro.
After a quick tidy up you’ll be able to photograph your designs in a styled setting.
Finally as you admire your work you can chatter away with your hosts and the other friendly guests over afternoon tea.
We’ll be setting out our daintiest china and serving you traditional finger sandwiches and savouries, followed by a scrumptious selection of home baked sweet delights and of course, oodles of freshly pot-brewed tea.
If you’ve ever dreamed of ‘playing with flowers’, this is for you. You’ll leave with new found skills that you can use time and time again, a unique creation to gift away or to keep and admire yourself and, no doubt the sense of wellbeing that comes with ‘letting go’ for a couple of hours.
